Paul Gregory ~ Class of 1972

Arrived ~ 7/14/1954

Departed ~ 11/28/2024

Lovingly Reported by his sister, Anne Gregory.

Anne Gregory

This world said goodbye to my older brother, Paul Gregory, today. Very sudden, and hard to accept. Paul was on a cruise of the Rhine in Germany, along with Doris Gregory, his wife and my sister-in-law. He collapsed while they were walking to the local Christmas market in Rudesheim am Rhein, and died shortly after that at a local hospital. Their daughter, Beth Gregory Dixon, is now on her way there to be with her mom, and help with what’s next. Lots of tears and prayers on this Thanksgiving Day.

Paul Eliot Gregory, b. July 14, 1954, Minneapolis, MN. Alum of Brown University, Providence, RI 1976. Married Doris Brauer Dec. 19, 1980 in St. Paul, MN. Four children: David Gregory, Matthew Brauer, Beth Anne (Elizabeth Anne) Dixon (ISB ’99), and Jonathan Gregory (ISB ’02). Paul was a chemist for 3M almost all his adult life, including 4 years in Singapore and 6 years in Bkk. Retired in MN. Died November 28, 2024 in Rudesheim am Rhein, Germany. Secretly generous to a number of family members and friends. Fount of historical and scientific facts. Great cook. Unbelievably beloved grandfather. Much loved spouse, father, and brother. ❤️

Teachers like Harry are hero’s (or is that heros). Harry was my Calculus teacher in my Senior year at the old campus on soi 15 (1978-79). He convinced me to keep going when I was just about ready to give up and drop out of the class. I couldn’t understand Calculus, but with his help, it finally clicked in my brain. I got a B at the end of the semester. Thank you Harry!

Fahim Qureshi

It is with a heavy heart that I share this morning that my sweetest little brother, Greg, died last night at home on hospice. He fought a valiant fight against cancer. It is our belief that Greg is now free of any suffering and is in peace. He always thanked everyone for all that they did for him and he lived with cancer so bravely and without complaint. We will miss him terribly. He had the sweetest, most gentle soul. I’m grateful that I could share more about Greg over this last year and a few months. He used to say to me, “Jan, don’t you worry about a thing.” I said that to him some over the past few weeks. Peace to you, Greg. And to all those living with cancer, I will continue to pray for you and for your journey. Love to all.
