Carl Berryman Obituary


Carl Stacy Berryman, 62, of North Port, Florida, tragically lost his life on September 14, 2018. Carl, known by many nicknames, “Stacy” “Ray”, “Ray Sharkey”, was born in Riverside, California. He traveled around the world with his parents and three older brothers. He attended International School Bangkok in Thailand from 1964-1969, where he made many friends and memories. Eventually the family found their way to Ohio, where Carl graduated from Greenon High School in 1975. Carl served in the United States Navy from 1976-1978, on Carrier CV 43, until he was honorably discharged. Carl’s passions were music, playing the drums, NASCAR racing, and working on cars. Carl had a sense of humor sometimes only he understood, but that was the way he wanted it.

Carl is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 42 years, Pamela Berryman, his mother Jean Berryman, his brothers Warren Scott Berryman and Joseph Stuart Berryman, his daughters, Cheryl Wolbert, Angela Berryman, Kimberly Berryman, and his four grandchildren, Karley, Jacob, Shelby, and Alyssa. He is proceeded in death by his father Rue Shelly Berryman Sr. and his brother Rue Shelly Berryman Jr.

A visitation for Carl was held at Farley Funeral Home in North Port on Tuesday, September 25th from 10:00AM-1100AM and followed by the service. A graveside service with military honors was held at 1:00PM at Sarasota National Cemetery.
