Carol (Black) Gauvin, of Tampa, Fla., passed away on April 21, 2025, with her husband by her side.
She was the beloved wife of Michael Gauvin. Born in Pawtucket, R.I., Carol was the daughter of the late LTC Leahman Black and Eileen (Sweetland) Black. She graduated from Cumberland High School in 1969.
Carol is survived by her husband, Michael; son, Brandon (Barbie) Gauvin; daughter, Michelle Gauvin; and cherished grandson, Ryker.
She is also survived by her aunt, Joan Winters; brothers, Thomas (Rae) Black, and Michael (Connie) Black; sister, Maureen (John) O’Hara; sister-in-law Patricia (Anthony) Colantonio; brother-in-law Glen Gauvin, and nieces and nephews.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Eileen; her in-laws Joseph and Agnes Gauvin; sister Sharon, and nieces Eileen Gorst and Kristin Holmes.
A celebration of Life will be planned by the family.
