Kirsten A. Hart Obituary

Kirsten A. Borchardt Hart
October 29, 1969 – October 12, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, teacher, and friend.

Born in Hawaii into a proud military family, she was no stranger to adventure and embraced a life full of travel, learning, and connection. Her global experiences shaped her generous spirit and broad perspective, which she shared throughout her career as a passionate and dedicated teacher. Her creativity touched every part of her life—whether in the classroom, at home, or in her art.

She is survived by the love of her life Brian, together for over 32 years, and three wonderful sons, Duncan, Griffin, and Liam. Also, her sister Elizabeth Miner (Bill), mother Karen Lindquist, and father Curt Borchardt (Jennifer).

Kirsten’s true passion was in the classroom as a devoted educator for over 30 years. Her impact reached far beyond lesson plans. Kirsten was known for her kindness, sense of humor, creativity, encouragement, and many students remember her not only as a teacher, but as someone who truly cared for them. Her mantra year after year to her students was “Always be Kind”. Colleagues knew her as a steady presence, always ready to lend a helping hand or a word of encouragement.

Beyond her travels, Kirsten’s pure essence radiated in the way she lived each moment. She was the heart of her family—organizing unforgettable trips, cooking delicious meals, and filling her home with warmth, laughter, and countless board games.

Her fun-loving nature was absolutely contagious, a bright energy evident in everything she touched. With a big heart that knew no bounds, Kirsten possessed an extraordinary gift for making everyone around her feel genuinely seen, deeply loved, and cherished. She was endlessly loyal and generous, and every friend she made became family and a better person because of her. She dove headfirst into every adventure, whether immersing herself in playing golf, hiking, screen printing, painting, drawing, woodblock printing, crochet, creating posters, and designing unique T-shirts. Her hands were always busy bringing beauty into the world, and her work reflected her bold imagination and attention to detail. She embraced every single journey with an open mind, pure joy, and the most intense work ethic.

Even in the face of her illness, Kirsten never lost her characteristic humor or her incredible grace and dignity, inspiring all who witnessed her unwavering strength. Kirsten leaves behind a heartbroken, yet eternally grateful, community of family and friends who love her fiercely and will forever hold her memory close and dear. She touched countless lives, and every person who knew her carries a story, a laugh, a moment that beautifully reveals her extraordinary capacity for love and friendship. Though her time with us was far too brief, Kirsten’s vibrant legacy of living life to the fullest, embracing every adventure, and spreading pure happiness will continue to inspire us all. We will forever miss her radiant smile, her infectious laugh, and her ability to make every moment unforgettably fun.

Kirsten’s visitation will be held on Sunday October 19, 2025, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday October 20, 2025, at 10 a.m.
